An Aurora-area woman reported that her laptop computer and modem were stolen from her home in the 0-100 block of Margarets Lane between noon and 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 24. The woman told Kane County Sheriff’s police that she had left her front door unlocked and the thief might have been someone she knows. No dollar value was given for the equipment, which was leased.
