Kane County sheriff’s police responded to two reports of car break-ins in the Batavia area April 8.
Residents of two households in the 38W200 block of Glenwood Trail told police that their vehicles had been ransacked sometime in the early-morning hours. Nothing was reported missing, though thieves apparently tried to remove a dashboard in one vehicle to steal a car stereo.
