A 30-year-old woman was charged with endangering the life of a child recently after she left her child with a motel clerk in Chicago Ridge before going to work, police said.
The woman told the clerk her husband was in a room waiting to care for the child at the Blue Star Motel in the 7100 block of West 103rd Street, police said. Isabel Diaz, of the 6200 block of West 127th Place in Palos Heights, was arrested after police arrived and found that her husband, who was not staying at the motel, told police he had had no contact from his wife about caring for the child, police said.
