An armed bank robber was on the loose today after holding up a Charter One branch on the North Side, according to the FBI.
The robbery happened about 10:20 a.m. at the bank in the North Center neighborhood at 4037 N. Lincoln Ave. No one was hurt.
The robber made everyone in the bank get on the ground before taking an undisclosed amount of money and fleeing on foot, said FBI spokeswoman Cynthia Yates. A comprehensive description of the robber wasn’t immediately available.
FBI agents were on the scene this afternoon along with Chicago police.
