— Can someone explain why Jay Cutler isn’t using his feet inside the 10 yard line? Cutler barely moved on three pass attempts near the end of the half, and he made two risky passes before a throwaway on third down.
— Dane Sanzenbacher is starting to remind me of Cris Carter. All he does is score touchdowns.
— It’s always nice to see Devin Hester with the football in his hands. That hasn’t happened very often this year. Speed plus instincts often equals a big play.
— I’m waiting to hear from the people today who think Johnny Knox can’t get open.
— Roy Williams had a drop on the goal line. It seems like good things don’t happen often enough when the Bears throw his way.
— The most difficult catch of the game so far by a Bear might have been the short pass over the middle Matt Forte caught and took 28 yards at the end of the quarter.
— The Packers have targeted Craig Steltz. They have some matchups advantages with the Bears secondary being compromised by injuries. This could be a deciding factor in the game.
— Chris Conte, anyone?
— Brian Urlacher did a nice job of winning the point of attack and dropping running back Ryan Grant for a loss of a yard.
— Four times the Bears have been caught with encroachment. I’m guessing Aaron Rodgers is getting tricky with the snap count. Even Rodgers’ own players might be having problems with it.
— Packers guard T.J. Lang gets a pass defended on third and 14. Rodgers’ screen for James Starks bounced off Lang’s backside.
— It’s not easy to sack Aaron Rodgers. Good job by Henry Melton.
— For a game between two pretty good teams, this has been pretty sloppy.
— Look, the field might not be perfect. But I’ve never seen an NFL game stopped because of a divot before. Let’s play football.
— Someone needs to give Mike Martz a nudge at halftime. Don’t forget about the run game.
