The Chicago Bulls officially announced the signing of Brian Scalabrine on Monday afternoon.
Scalabrine and the Bulls had been waiting for clearance from FIBA since Scalabrine had left Benetton Treviso, the Italian team he had played for during the lockout.
Scalabrine told the Tribune last week that he repaid the club all of what he made plus an unspecified amount extra to get out of his contract.
Scalabrine’s contract is for the veteran’s minimum and not fully guaranteed, a source said.
