A program allowing travelers to get through security faster will be expanded to 28 airports in 2012, including O’Hare International Airport, the Transportation Security Administration announced today.

People who provide the agency with information about themselves in advance of their flights will be eligible for screening that will likely mean shorter wait times and not needing to remove shoes or laptop computers, the TSA said.

More information from the TSA is available here.
