Loyola has added 6-foot-2 combo guard Kody Williams to the 2012-13 roster.

Williams, a cousin to former DePaul great Mark Aguirre, spent last season at Tallahassee Community College and the 2010-11 season at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he played four games. He averaged a team-best 4.1 assists per game along with 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds a game at Tallahassee.

“Kody gives us toughness and athleticism at the guard spot,” Loyola coach Porter Moser said in a news release. “Kody is a long, athletic player who can be a great defensive stopper for us.”

Williams was born in Chicago but raised in Florida.
