A man robbed a North Community Bank branch this morning in the city’s Near North neighborhood.

Shortly before 10 a.m., a man walked into the bank at 800 N. State St. and passed a teller a demand note, said Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Perez said.

The FBI described the robber as a black man, between 5-feet 11-inches and 6-feet 1-inch tall, and weighing between 180 and 195 pounds.

He has a slender build and was last seen wearing a tan shirt, the FBI said.

Anyone with information on the identity of the robber should contact the FBI Chicago office at 312-421-6700.
