WASHINGTON, Nov 6 (Reuters) – MSNBC projected that Republican

Representative Jeff Flake won the U.S. Senate seat for Arizona

in Tuesday’s election.

Flake, who has been a member of the House of Representatives

since 2003, defeated Richard Carmona, a former U.S. Surgeon

General. He fills the seat vacated by Republican Senator Jon

Kyl.
