A Hammond man died Saturday from injuries he suffered in a fire at his northwest Indiana home.
The man was identified as Roy Krieger, 85, of the 4300 block of Torrence Avenue, according to a spokesman from the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Krieger was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where he was pronounced dead at 7:42 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
The circumstance leading up to the fire from the Hammond Fire Department were not immediately available.
