Ailing Rizzo out of Cubs’ lineup

Shortly after trading outfielder David DeJesus to Washington, the Chicago Cubs learned they won’t have first baseman Anthony Rizzo in Monday night’s starting lineup against the Nationals.

Rizzo is sidelined because of an illness and will be replaced by Cody Ransom.

Darnell McDonald will start in left field, where DeJesus played most of the time after the ascent of Junior Lake, who will bat leadoff and play center field.
