The following items were taken from police reports:

Oak Park

*A couple stole $460 from the rear pocket of a Chicago man they approached from the rear on the 0-100 block of Madison Street at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 26.

*Two men wearing dark face masks stole $3 from a Chicago man at gunpoint, attempted to take a salt spreader from his hands and hit him in an alley on the 400 block of North Lombard Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 26.

*A Berwyn woman leaving a westbound Metra Blue Line commuter train and walking to the Lombard Avenue exit at 2:04 p.m. Nov. 22 was robbed of a purple Saks purse, a cell phone, wallet and credit cards, valued at more than $1,000, by a man who grabbed her from behind, wrapped his right arm around her neck, began squeezing and said, “Give it up or I’ll kill you.”

*Two Chicago men, ages 19 and 21, were charged Nov. 25 with a burglary on Nov. 21 on the 800 block of South Kenilworth Avenue.

*A 38-year-old Oak Park man living on the 200 block of Lake Street was charged Nov. 26 with domestic battery.

*A 38-year-old Chicago man was charged Nov. 26 on the 500 block of North Humphrey Avenue for violating an order of protection.

*A 30-year-old Chicago man was charged with possession of cannabis, driving on a suspended license and not having proof of insurance after being stopped on the 1100 block of Madison Street at 11:50 p.m. Nov. 26. He also was wanted on a Champaign County warrant for a traffic violation.

*A 61-year-old Oak Park woman was charged with retail theft after she stole a 100-ounce bottle of Tide laundry detergent at the CVS Pharmacy on the 300 block of Madison Street at 12:50 p.m. Nov. 26.

*A 28-year-old Chicago man was charged with the battery of a security officer at West Suburban Hospital, 0-100 Eric Court, at 11:25 p.m. Nov. 23.

*An Oak Park girl was charged with possession of cannabis after she was stopped for a traffic violation on the 100 block of Division Street at 8:16 p.m. Nov. 24.

*A 32-year-old Chicago man was charged with retail theft after he stole six DVDs valued at $154 at the Dominick’s store on the 200 block of Lake Street at 3:36 p.m. Nov. 24.

*A 29-year-old Oak Park man was charged with violating an order of protection when arrested in his home on the 6900 block of Roosevelt Road at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 24.

*A 53-year-old Chicago woman was charged with criminal trespass after she stayed in the McDonald’s restaurant on the 100 block of Madison Street at 4:10 p.m. Nov. 23 after she was told numerous times to leave and not return.

*A 14-year-old Chicago boy was charged Nov. 22 with burglary to a motor vehicle that happened Nov. 13 on the 6500 block of North Avenue.

*A Delta miter saw and biscuit cutter and silver Craftsman tool box containing miscellaneous hand tools were stolen between 5 p.m. Nov. 25 and 7 a.m. Nov. 26 from an unlocked garage on the 1100 block of South Harvey Avenue.

*The front door was pried open, causing $300 in damage to the frame, at a business on the 0-100 block of Chicago Avenue between 6 p.m. Nov. 25 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 26.

*An Apple MacBook computer, an iPhone and television set were stolen between 2:02 p.m. Nov. 21 and 5:17 p.m. Nov. 22 from an apartment on the 200 block of North Harlem Avenue, where a panel on the rear door was broken. A black 2008 Saab sport-utility vehicle was stolen from a rear parking lot. The total loss was worth an estimated $10,000.

*A black 2008 Saab 97 stolen Nov. 22 on the 1100 block of North Grove Avenue was found Nov. 26 by Chicago police on the 3200 block of Washington Boulevard, and a 27-year-old Chicago man was arrested.

*A couple stole 13 bottles of Dove Body Wash worth $110.27 at the CVS Pharmacy on the 6700 block of Roosevelt Road at 1:21 p.m. Nov. 25.

*A white iPhone in black Spec case valued at $100 were stolen between 10:40 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 25 from an Oak Park youth’s unsecured gym locker at Oak Park and River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Ave.

*A man stole two blue hooded sweatshirts with “Chicago” printed on them, valued at almost $80, from a rack at the Oak Park Visitors Center on the 1000 block of Lake Street between 11:50 and 11:58 a.m. Nov. 23.

*A River Forest resident’s brown, five-speed Raleigh Sport bicycle with metal basket valued at $150 was stolen between 9 a.m. Nov. 23 and 12:05 a.m. Nov. 24 from a bike rack on the 1100 block of South Boulevard.

*A Chicago man’s black leather Tumi shoulder bag containing an Apple iPod, a hardcover book and checkbook, all valued at $925, was stolen between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 22 while he was in a store on the 800 block of Madison Street.

*A 76-year-old Oak Park man was charged with criminal trespass after he went on the front porch of a home on the 1100 block of South Humphrey Avenue and began ringing the bell at 7:24 p.m. Nov. 25 after being told he was not allowed on the property.

*Both passenger side tires were cut on a car parked in the rear of a home on the 400 block of South Maple Avenue between 7 p.m. Nov. 24 and 5 p.m. Nov. 25, causing $200 in damage.

*A note explaining that a vehicle’s grill, bolt and socket were damaged because of a car alarm sounding for hours was left between 11:20 a.m. Nov. 24 and noon Nov. 25 on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of South Kenilworth Avenue.

*A pry tool caused $400 in damage to the driver’s side window frame of a car parked on the 700 block of North Grove Avenue between 9 p.m. Nov. 22 and 10 a.m. Nov. 23.

*A driver’s side mirror was damaged on a car parked in the rear driveway of a home on the 100 block of South Humphrey Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Nov. 22 and 9:48 a.m. Nov. 23, causing $175 in damage.

*A basement storage window was broken between 1 and 8:55 p.m. Nov. 22 in a common area of an apartment building on the 0-100 block of Ontario Street, causing $100 in damage.

*A brick was used to break four wire-enforced glass panels on the roof of a building on the 1100 block of Lake Street sometime Nov. 21-22, and an unsuccessful attempt was made to open a padlock on a door. Damage was estimated at $800.

River Forest

*A 49-year-old Franklin Park man was charged with driving under the influence and other unidentified traffic offenses on the 7500 block of North Avenue at 12:51 a.m. Nov. 24.

*A 21-year-old Berwyn man was charged on a warrant for violating his probation after being stopped in connection with a report of a man with a gun at Lake Street and Harlem Avenue at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 23. No gun was found.

*A 36-year-old Oak Park woman was charged with retail theft for taking $5 in bakery products at Whole Foods Market, 7245 Lake St., at 3:10 p.m. Nov. 23.

*A 38-year-old Oak Park man was charged with criminal trespass for refusing to leave the Jewel Foods, 7525 Lake St., after being asked to by store management at 12:58 p.m. Nov. 22.
