Columbus adds defenseman Schultz from Edmonton
The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired defenseman Nick Schultz from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick Wednesday.
The 31-year-old defensive defenseman spent the last two years in Edmonton without missing a game
Earlier in the day, the Blue Jackets traded forward Marian Gaborik to the Los Angeles Kings for winger Matt Frattin and a pair of picks while the Oilers traded veteran forward Ales Hemsky to the Ottawa Senators for draft picks.
