Nicholas Pritzker, the billionaire chief executive and chairman of Hyatt Development Corp., on Monday listed his seven-bedroom, Georgian-style mansion on the Gold Coast for just under $10 million.
Pritzker also owns a 7,325-square-foot contemporary-style mansion on more than 40 acres on Lake Michigan in Covert, Mich., which has been for sale since 2010. It’s currently available for $3.9 million.
Pritzker has owned the three-story, 7,884-square-foot mansion on the Gold Coast for more than two decades. Features include 5-1/2 baths, four fireplaces, a library, a children’s playroom, a large rooftop deck, a two-car garage and separate staff quarters.
Pritzker’s mansion has clocked in as the third highest-priced residential property in Chicago’s city limits currently on the market. It trails philanthropist Ann Lurie’s 12-bedroom, 18,590-square-foot mansion, which is available for $18.75 million, and a penthouse in the Ritz-Carlton Residences at 118 E. Erie Street, which has an asking price of $10.85 million.
Listing agent Tom Gorman of Baird & Warner did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
