Chicago Cubs manager Rick Renteria kept his word that Junior Lake and Mike Olt will earn starts Thursday against Pittsburgh in the finale of a three-game series at Wrigley Field.
Olt is coming off a three-RBI game Wednesday night that included a two-run home run that snapped a 1-1 tie. Lake hit a home run that cleared the left field bleachers.
Olt and Lake, who have started mostly against left-handers, will face the Pirates’ hard-throwing Gerrit Cole.
