Each year, Tinley Park officials hold a public art contest called Benches on the Avenue.

The village calls for local artists to submit bench designs built around themes. This year’s theme is “Game On.”

Local artists drew on a variety of games for their inspiration, from classics like Monopoly and Scrabble to Super Mario Bros. and Uno. The benches went up along Oak Park Avenue this month and will remain until Oct. 1.
