At least five people were shot, two fatally, Saturday afternoon in Chicago.

About 10:10 p.m. someone shot and killed a 15-year-old boy and wounded a 16-year-old boy on the corner of 109th Place and Perry Avenue on the Far South Side.

The two were standing on the corner when someone got out of a car, opened fire and fled. The boy shot in the shoulder was taken to Roseland Hospital and the boy who died was pronounced dead at the scene.

Earlier today, in the city’s Morgan Park neighborhood, a 23-year-old man was shot to death.

That shooting happened shortly before 5 p.m. in the 11100 block of south Homewood Avenue, police said.

The man, who was shot in the chest, was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead at 5:37 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Preliminary information said two groups of people were gathered on the block at about 4:45 p.m. when shots were fired, police said. People ran in several directions and the victim was left on the ground, police said.

Saturday night, someone shot a 55-year-old man multiple times in the Fuller Park neighborhood. The man was outside when someone got out of a white minivan and fired toward the man. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

About 6:10 p.m., a store clerk suffered a gunshot wound to the leg during a robbery on the 2600 block of north Kedzie Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood, police said. The store clerk, 25, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition. Preliminary information said the gunman stole money from the store and fled, according to police.

Nobody is in custody for either shooting and police were investigating.
