Nine people were injured, three of them seriously, in a four-vehicle crash in the Austin neighborhood this afternoon, officials said.
An Emergency Medical Services Plan 1 was called for the crash about 4:45 p.m. at Roosevelt Road and Central Avenue. Nine patients, including two children, were taken to area hospitals, according to the Chicago Fire Department’s media office.
Three of those injured were in serious-to-critical condition, according to the Fire Department.
Police News Affairs did not immediately have any information on the crash.
