A total of $5,000 in tools were taken when a 1998 Ford van was damaged and burglarized on Sept. 13 in the 3000 block of Bayside Drive.
A 19-year-old Wheeling man was charged with retail theft at a store at 1555 N. Rand Road. He was caught taking an external hard drive valued at $159 before handing it over to employees and then running off. He was soon arrested near Dundee Road.
A 50-year-old Buffalo Grove man was seen putting teeth whitening strips and an athletic brace into his pants and leaving the store at 1555 N. Rand Road on Sept. 14.
A 25-year-old Long Valley man was charged with DUI after trying to flee from police. He was arrested shortly before 2 a.m. on Sept. 13 near Frontage and Dundee roads and was also charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license, illegal transportation of alcohol, fleeing from police, improper lane usage and driving without insurance.
A 42-year-old Arlington Heights man was charged with DUI and illegally squealing tires. He was arrested on Sept. 13 in the 1400 block of Winslowe Drive.
