Q: Where do you live?
A: Lyons
Q: How long have you been working in security?
A: 21 years
Q: What do you like about your job?
A: It keeps me in touch with people, younger people. It keeps me active.
Q: What did you do before this?
A: I was a pressman for R.R.Donnelly. We did Time, Life, Sports Illustrated.
Q: Are you married?
A: Yes. My wife is Marie. She’s the former mayor of Lyons.
Q. Do you have children?
A: Three grown kids — two daughters and a son. Seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Q. How old are you?
A: 78
Q. What’s your favorite television show?
\\We watch all the “Chicago P.D.,” “Chicago Fire” shows. Because they’re taped in Chicago you get to see some of the landmarks. We also watch “The Voice” and “Dancing with the Stars.”
Q: Where are you going on your next vacation?
A: We usually go to Palm Island, Fla., with my son. We rent a house. There are six, seven or eight of us.
Q: Do you like your job monitoring the parking lot when the weather is bad?
A: Everybody wants my job on the nice days. When the weather is bad, they don’t want it.
