A garage in Lake Forest caught fire late Tuesday morning.

The Lake Forest Fire Department received a 911 call at 10:22 a.m. after a construction crew working on the 100 block of North Ridge Road spotted smoke coming from a garage across the street, according to a news release.

Firefighters entered through a side door and extinguished the fire in 10 minutes, the release said. One firefighter was injured, treated and released.

The department estimates $25,000 in damage and is investing the fire.

This is the third fire reported in Lake Forest in the last week. A semi-truck carrying wine and cheese caught fire on southbound Route 41 on Jan. 7 and a chimney fire took place on the 400 block of East Illinois Road on Jan. 4.
