Glen Ellyn police received several reports of parked cars being burglarized in May.
A folding knife was reported stolen from a car parked in the 0 to 100 block of Main Street on May 22. The car was left unlocked, police said. On the same day and in the same block an unknown individual entered an unlocked automobile and removed an envelope containing $175 in cash, police said.
Sometime between 9 p.m. on May 24 and 7 a.m. on May 25 an unknown individual stole a wallet with $40 and various credit cards from an unlocked automobile parked in the 500 block of Dorset Place. About the same time, an unknown individual removed an undisclosed amount of money from a car parked in the 0 to 100 block of Forest Avenue.
About $2 in assorted change was reported stolen from a car parked in the 0 to 100 block of Parkside Avenue between 10:30 p.m. May 24 and 7 a.m. on May 25.
On May 16, an unknown individual removed about $20 in cash and an iPad from a car parked in the 600 block of Maiden Lane, police said.
