A 15-year-old male was accidentally shot in his leg Monday in Dolton, police said.
Four teen boys told officers that someone shot at them at 2 p.m. in the alley in the 14800 block of Grant Street, officials said. But Deputy Police Chief Ernest Mobley said the victim’s wounds appear to be consistent with a self-inflicted wound.
Investigators are looking for the firearm and talking to the teens and their parents about the incident, Mobley said.
The investigation is ongoing, Mobley added.
