No bleeding blue Cubs fan fan would say it or wants to hear it, but if they don’t step up their game in the series with the Dodgers, their season will be over long before the ivy turns brown.

Hello, P.T. from Oak Lawn. Three months ago in the Southtown Speak Out you predicted the Cubs would not win 90 games. How about 92 wins? And you predicted if the Cubs made the playoffs they would lose in the first round. How about Cubs over Nationals! Thanks for your expert predictions.

Last weekend, Trump took his 69th golf trip at taxpayer expense. Yes, since starting his reality TV Presidency, Trump has taken 69 vacations. Remember when he said on the campaign trail that he would be so busy working that he would have no time for vacation? Loyal Trump voters will of course dismiss this as fake news, but what happened to draining the swamp?

All members of Congress beginning January 1, 2018, will now have “Obamacare insurance” coverage. No more “Special Health Plan” as they now have.

It is absurd and an insult to taxpayers for Cook County to ask for additional taxes of any kind when their employees get to retire at 50 years old. That’s just ridiculous. Absurdly early retirements are what caused Greece to go bankrupt. We cannot afford to pay anyone a pension for 40 years (if they live to age 90 for example).
I was watching the news when President (Donald) Trump came on with his tirade against Iran. He cites things that happened in the past and he seems to have tunnel vision when it comes to who is backing terrorism around the world. I know President Trump watches the news, but does he ignore everything except what is said or written about him? The ignorance and bigotry shown in this tirade is an embarrassment to the United States. The only regime change I would like to see is removing President Trump and the staff that wrote his speech.
