The Bulls finalized their regular-season roster for now by claiming guard Kay Felder off waivers on Monday and waiving Jarell Eddie and Diamond Stone.
The Bulls’ roster stands at 15, along with two-way signings Ryan Arcidiacono and Antonio Blakeney.
The Hawks waived Felder on Saturday after acquiring the 5-foot-9-inch point guard from the Cavaliers in Cleveland’s roster-trimming move. Felder averaged 4 points and 1.4 assists in 42 games for the Cavaliers last season and drew praise from general manager Koby Altman in a statement following the trade.
“Kay is a young, hard-working, talented player who has the potential for a bright and long future in this league,” Altman said. “His daily dedication and hard work are going to help him greatly.”
Felder’s $1.3 million contract carries a guarantee of $456,529 for this season. He will provide potential point guard insurance while Kris Dunn is sidelined.
