St. Paul MB Church: 2300 Grant St. — St. Paul MB Church and Simmons Family Council will sponsor the Annual Kwanzaa celebration at 6 p.m. Dec. 29. Volunteers are needed to perform vocal and instrumental music, poetry readings and dance. Food donations of meat, vegetables, salads, desserts and fruit to share with a minimum of 10 people are needed. All ages may attend. Western Christian Community Church: 2826 W. 15th Ave. — The church will present a Christmas musical drama, “The Reason For The Season,” at 3 p.m. Sunday. The play is written by Flossie Davis and Lee Holloway is the choir director.

St. John the Evangelist: 10701 Alcott Ave. — “Divorce and Beyond,” a program for people dealing with the issues of divorce, will be held Mondays at 7 p.m. beginning Jan. 8 at the Emmaus House, 11350 School St. The facilitated ten-week program will take place in a confidential support group setting.
