The city of Park Ridge is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Park Ridge Library Board of Trustees.

Three seats on the library board are open for appointment to a three-year term. The terms of Trustees Stevan Dobrilovic, Judy Rayborn and Michael Reardon expire on June 30.

Each of the three trustees is completing a first term on the board following their 2015 appointments by the Park Ridge City Council.

Applications for the library board can be obtained on the city’s website. Completed applications should be returned to Deputy City Clerk Cheryl Peterson at cpeterso@parkridge.us by 5 p.m. on May 11, according to the city.

Applicants will be interviewed by the Mayor’s Advisory Board, which consists of Aldermen John Moran, Gail Wilkening, Charlie Melidosian and Marc Mazzuca. The advisory board will then recommend three candidates to the mayor, who is expected to bring the names to the full City Council for appointment.

The Park Ridge Library Board conducts a regular meeting on the third Tuesday of each month and also meets on the second Tuesday of the month for committee of the whole discussions.
