A 27-year-old man was walking in an alley Thursday evening in the Humboldt Park neighborhood when he was stabbed in the back by three people who tried to rob him, Chicago police said.
The man was in an alley in the 3800 block of West Division Street on the West Side when the group approached him around 9:30 p.m. During a robbery attempt, one of the three took out a knife and stabbed him three times, police said.
He was stabilized at Stroger Hospital.
No one was in custody.
