
On Tuesday, the Chicago Dramatists announced its new “Monday Night Drama” play development series.
According to the organization, programming will consist of public readings of plays-in-progress from resident playwrights and alumni, as well as live podcast recordings, panel discussions and other discussion-driven events.
The roster includes:
9/17 – “Toni Stone” by Lydia R. Diamond
10/1 – “Throwaway Kids” by Isaac Gomez
10/15 – “Tar and Feather” by Kristin Idaszak
11/5 – “suspension” by Kristiana Rae Colón
11/19 – “Where All Of It Is True and None Of It Is Real” by Arlene Malinowski
12/10 – “Blue Bullets” by Alvaro Saar Rios
1/14 – “North Star” by Georgette Kelly
1/28 – “Small World” by Jillian Leff & Joe Lino
2/25 – Panel: “Developing the Devised Play” (Pending)
3/11 – “The Guest” by Zina Camblin
3/25 – “The Constant Live: a Live Podcast Recording featuring Mark Chrisler”
4/15 – “Hotel Desperado” by Will Dunne
5/20 – “The Volunteer” by Cassandra Rose
6/3 – “His Shadow” by Loy A. Webb
6/24 – Selected Writer’s Studio Playwright (TBD)
7/29 – “When They Came” by MT Cozzola
Performed with minimal staging, programming will be held at the Chicago Dramatists’ home, 1105 W. Chicago Ave.
