A woman died Friday morning after she was slashed in the throat on the West Side, Chicago police said.
The 37-year-old woman was found around 7:15 a.m. in the 4100 block of West Cermak Road in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said. The victim, Nicole Kinsley, was pronounced dead at 7:27 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy Oct. 6 determined Kinsley died of died of multiple stab and incise wounds and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Police had a suspect in custody, and charges were pending.
