Oak Park police are searching for three men who dragged a resident out of her car and threatened to kill her during a vehicular hijacking incident last week.
According to police, the Oak Park resident was sitting inside her car in the 400 block of South Humphrey Avenue when three men approached at about 9:15 p.m. Nov. 25.
The men demanded the resident exit her Toyota Prius and “stated they would kill her,” police said.
The men then “by brute force” dragged her out of the car, police said. The men also stole her purse and emptied its contents on the ground, police said.
After the men entered the car, they fled the scene driving eastbound on Washington Boulevard toward Chicago, police said.
No other description of the men was available, police said. The value of the stolen car is estimated at $15,500.
