Police are investigating the slaying of a 28-year-old man in Dolton Wednesday.

Dolton police Chief Ernest Mobley said Thursday morning that details of the man’s death at 15032 Minerva Ave. were limited at this point, but confirmed it was a homicide.

The Lake County, Indiana coroner’s office identified the victim as Deaunte Crudup, of Harvey. He was pronounced dead at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday, a coroner’s office statement said.

Mobley said Dolton police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force were investigating the killing.
