Filling the swamp
Trump has gone from promising to drain the swamp to a practice of filling it as rapidly as possible. The breadth and depth of his corruption is boundless. From the nepotism of hiring relatives, to the practice of appointing people to positions of oversight who all seem to come from the industries they’re overseeing, to pardoning people who were all convicted of corruption, to firing everyone who dared to link his name to Russia, to spending a third of his time at Trump properties while billing us the highest possible rates for the security details that follow him there, he’s as corrupt a politician as you could ever fear running across.
Not one more penny
I’m a die-hard Republican who contributes monthly to Donald Trump, but no more. Once POTUS commuted Blagojevich’s sentence, that was it. Not one more penny. This was done just to spite former Democrat U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald’s prosecution of Blago.
So unethical
Trump just gave a pardon to Milken after one of Milken’s friends hosted a fundraiser for half a million dollars per couple which raised $10 million for Trump’s campaign. So rich people can buy pardons now? So unethical.
Stop the insanity
Our narcissist-in-chief is at it again, paying no heed to Russian interference warnings concerning the upcoming election campaign; warnings from U.S. Intelligence experts. It’s easy to see where he is coming from, as he is not very familiar with anything concerning intelligence. Make the insanity stop this November.
Never-ending fiasco
After the steel beams for the Grand and 41 Gurnee Union Pacific Railroad bridge arrived too short, there appears to be a blame game now being played as to who is at fault in the ordering or manufacturing of the beams. I heard this could possibly result in legal proceedings regarding the mix-up. This project has been going on since 2008, starting with the project being engineered incorrectly as the initial completion of the 41 overpass created major traffic jams far worse than before, which resulted now in the widening of the railroad overpass structure. I feel sorry for the nearby residents, travelers, business owners and especially the owners of the businesses that went belly up due the the loss of customers from this never-ending project. Now we all wonder how much longer will it be before this fiasco is completed.
