Two people were hurt, one fatally, early Friday in a fire at a building in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.
A still-and-box fire was reported at a residential building at 901 E. 104th St., Chicago Fire Department tweeted shortly before 1 a.m.
About an hour later, the fire was struck out and an adult was found dead at the scene, the fire department said.
Another adult was taken in good-to-fair condition to Trinity Hospital, the fire department said. Their ages and genders were not immediately released.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Chicago police did not provide details on the fire.
