Poorly handled

What is going on with this country? This country is no longer a great country. People are getting lazier. People want more money. People want more tax breaks. You’ve got our government officials who don’t want to have to go in and vote. This is getting ridiculous, people. And I don’t believe in COVID. I do believe we have a pandemic, and I do believe people will die from the pandemic, and not everybody’s going to get saved from the pandemic. We have people with underlying illnesses, and that is what’s taking them down. I am one that does not believe in masks, never did believe in masks and I don’t believe in the way that this country’s handling the pandemic.

Mister, mister

This is for the person who is so worried that they didn’t call Trump “mister,” but that they call Biden “mister”: Excuse me. They called their president President Trump like they’re supposed to. They call Biden Mr. Biden because he’s not president yet.

Do you approve?

Joe Biden has publicly stated that he wants to stop building our southern border wall. Do you approve? How does that help you or your family personally?

It disgusts me

I’m calling in regarding the front-page article in the paper regarding Lake County restaurants adapting in effort to survive. I’m very curious as to how every evening, when I drive home from work and pass a restaurant in Wadsworth, the parking lot does not have one empty space and it’s packed more than ever because they’re the only bar and restaurant that is still operating. Who do they know that allows them to get away with this? I feel for all these restaurants that are having such a difficult time staying alive and paying their employees. But when I drive by an establishment that thumbs their nose at the rules, it just disgusts me.

Helpless people

Now the winter season has stopped outdoor dinning, maybe people will have to learn how to open up a can of soup and make a sandwich for themselves. If they don’t know how, maybe the government can give them some money to hire someone to do it for them. That is what this country is coming to, that somebody else has to do it for them. Many people are helpless.

Learn to plow

Come on Waukegan Township, who taught you how to plow snow? These roads here are terrible. There is ice all over the place. Didn’t you put down any salt? Come on. Earn your money. Learn how to plow.

Everywhere a sign

The mayor of Waukegan lets the citizens get away with too much. Unbelievable. You’ve got signs on businesses that are painted or who knows what, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t get a permit to put these signs up on businesses. It looks horrible.
