Former Chicago Blackhawks left wing Patrick Sharp on Friday placed his six-bedroom, 7,300-square-foot mansion in the Lakeview neighborhood’s Southport Corridor on the market for $3.13 million.
A Winnipeg native, Sharp, 39, won three Stanley Cup titles with the Blackhawks during a long career in the NHL. After retiring, he began serving as an analyst for NBC Sports Chicago.
In Chicago’s Southport Corridor, Sharp paid $2.95 million in 2012 to buy the mansion from its builder, who had constructed it in 2009. Situated on an oversized corner lot, the mansion has six bathrooms, a center entry, a foyer with a dramatic curved center staircase topped by a circular skylight, and a three-zone kitchen with a breakfast bar, a Miele espresso-maker and a large walk-in pantry. Other features include a family room that opens to two decks and a secure backyard and a third-floor great room that also opens to two large decks, one of which has an outdoor kitchen.
Downstairs on the lower level, the mansion has a rec room with a state-of-the-art golf simulator, a wet bar and a wine cellar. Outside, the mansion has a heated three-car garage.
Sharp rented out the mansion for $10,500 a month in 2015.
