Dozens of people are killed by gunfire every single day in the U.S., but there’s no need to talk about gun control. Thousands of Americans sometimes work two or three jobs in order to afford food and rent, but there’s no need to talk about an increase in the minimum wage. Our roads and bridges and rail lines are badly in need of repair, but there’s no need to talk about infrastructure, we can’t afford it. Our public schools are going broke, but there’s no need to talk about cutting back on government-subsidized charter and for-profit schools. The healthcare of our citizenry ranks near the bottom of healthcare in industrialized nations, but there’s no need to talk about healthcare. And the list goes on. In fact, the party of “no” has a very long list of things we need do nothing about.
You needn’t look any further for causes of the brazen misbehavior of some school children than to look at the example set by their unruly parents at a Valparaiso school board meeting last week. Apparently the litmus test of a certain kind of politics these days is to routinely oppose as “an infringement on my liberty” any rules or regulations whatsoever.
Bozo here, and I just wanted to assure you I am not a Quickly editor. I am just a guy who witnessed the decisiveness and damage “the former guy” brought upon our country. I think it is my patriotic duty to point out the damage he caused to remind everyone that if you fail to recognize you past mistakes, you are doomed to repeat them in the future. That is why the German people have constant reminders about the holocaust. They recognize this too.
Republicans don’t really care about abortion. They just want a steady supply of schoolchildren for target practice.
One thing that I have learned with this former president is just how unreasonable people have become. You cannot have a discussion or reason with them. If you do not agree 100% with them, they call you horrible names. I just wonder how these people have made it through life this long, worked, and raised a family.
Very few in the Republican Party has the right to say they back the police. They refused to vote to investigate the attack on Congress by Trump cult members which killed 4 and injured 138 capital police. One lost an eye and 14 now have life long lung issues. So stop with saying you back the blue. You clearly don’t.
How many “infrastructure weeks” did we have during the Trump administration? A lot. (Not quite as many as the “beautiful health plans” that were promised about every two weeks, but close.) Now that the Biden administration has proposed an actual, real, much-needed infrastructure plan, Trump-besotted Republicans are totally opposed to it. Since they are basically opposed to just about everything, this should come as no surprise.
We want to know exactly what roles were played by Tuberville, Gosar, Biggs, Greene, Boebert, Cruz and Hawley. No coincidence that they are all Republicans and Republicans are the ones blocking a Capitol Riot probe.
One defense attorney handling some U.S Capitol Insurrection cases says there will be a complication for plea agreement negotiations. He said some defendants think Trump is going to swoop in and save them. I hope that they don’t hold their breath waiting for Trump. On second thought, maybe they should.
Senator Rand Paul says he will not get the vaccination because “Until they show me evidence that people who have already had the virus are dying in large numbers,” and “I’m not getting vaccinated because I’ve already had the disease and have natural immunity.” Funny how an ophthalmologist can’t see reality. I wonder who he paid to take his classes for him?
Indiana’s seven Republican House members and two Republican Senators are going around the state telling police how much they love them and how much the Democrats hate them. I hope some of our police ask them why, if they love the people in blue so much, they have gone on record opposing formation of a commission to investigate the vicious January 6th assault on our Capitol police. And, if Democrats hate them so much, why are they all for it?
Three people were killed and at least five wounded Sunday in a shooting at an Ohio bar. In 2016, Ohio Governor Kasich signed into law a bill allowing weapons in bars, restaurants, and daycare centers. Policies like this insure that whenever some idiot gets into argument at a bar, at the store, or on the highway, someone’s sure to get blown away.
If Fox News was on the air in 1955, we would all have polio.
Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who has become a prominent figure in the QAnon conspiracy theory group, said that the Coronavirus pandemic was made up to distract from the 2020 election. If this man is dealing in these bizarre conspiracies, how did he hold such a high rank in our armed services?
