Luka Stojanovic scored for the third time in two games and the Chicago Fire beat the Columbus Crew 1-0 on Sunday night at Soldier Field.

Brian Gutierrez had his shot in the area deflected, but it went directly to Stojanovic, who turned and scored in the 77th minute. Stojanovic had his first multigoal MLS game in a 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls last week.

The Fire (5-9-5) have won back-to-back games and are unbeaten in their last four.

The Crew (6-7-6) have lost four games in a row, conceding 12 goals in that span. They allowed only 21 goals all last season.

Red Stars fall in North Carolina: The Chicago Red Stars (6-7-2) dropped their second straight game and third in four games, falling 1-0 to the North Carolina Courage in Cary, N.C.

Amy Rodriguez scored for the Courage in the first half. Red Stars goalkeeper Emily Boyd made her first NWSL appearance since 2019.
