Police said Tuesday they were interviewing a man following an early morning stabbing near Libertyville.
The Lake County sheriff’s office said Tuesday afternoon that the victim was taken to a hospital and was reported in critical condition after the stabbing, which happened about 1 a.m. in the 16200 block of West Des Plaines Drive.
Police said an 18-year-old Park City man drove to the Libertyville-area address to speak to another man, also 18, about an ongoing feud. During a verbal argument, the Libertyville man produced a knife, police said, and as the argument turned physical.
The Libertyville man ended up getting stabbed with the knife.
No charges had been filed by late Tuesday afternoon, and police said they were continuing to investigate and talk with the Park City man.
