Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison has announced he has a breakthrough case of COVID-19.
Morrison released a statement Wednesday saying he was vaccinated earlier this year but has tested positive for the coronavirus and has mild symptoms.
Morrison is quarantining at home while working remotely, according to the statement, which added that his wife, a nurse, and two daughters have both tested negative but are also quarantining, based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance.
Morrison is a Republican from Palos Park.
