Lake County authorities have charged a Kenosha man in the June shooting death of a man in Waukegan, police said Friday.

Waukegan police said they charged Anthony Wilson Jr., a 19-year-old Kenosha, Wisconsin, resident with first-degree murder in the death of Tyron Patrick, 36, of North Chicago.

Authorities took Wilson into custody Tuesday, and he is being held in lieu of $2 million bail. In addition to murder, Wilson is also charged with unlawful use of a weapon, police said.

Police found Patrick shot to death about 4:45 a.m. on June 13 in the 1600 block of 11th Street.

Officers responding to reports of gunshots discovered Wilson slumped behind the wheel of a car that had crashed into a building.

Police did not disclose what may have led to the shooting. Wilson is due back in court in November.
