Fourpeople were shot Wednesday near a Green Line station on the South Side.
Shortly before noon, paramedics were called to 63rd Street and South King Drive where the victims were shot, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt.
A 73-year-old man, a 51-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were all taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where their conditions, though serious, had stabilized, said Merritt and Chicago police.
A fourth person, a 46-year-old man, was also shot, police later said. The man walked into the University of Chicago Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg, where his condition was stabilized, they said.

The 73-year-old was shot in the leg, the woman was shot in the back, and the 39-year-old man was shot in the arm, according to police.
The gunman, who was wearing a red jogging suit, fled and was not in custody.
The elevated station is at 400 E. 63rd St., according to the CTA’s website.
