A hollow jerk
Gee, isn’t it wonderful Pumpkinhead Pritzker is going to lift the mask mandate. But we can’t do it now. It has to be the end of the month. When are you liberals going to wake up? This billionaire jerk we have raised every tax he could. And another joke is that he wants to give us a break on them. The biggest joke is him and that’s just what he is, a hollow jerk.
Laws or chaos
A recent Talk of the County contributor complained that we all have become “sheep” by allowing highway speed cameras. He complains about the loss of freedom. The Chicago area has approximately 9.5 million people living in it. Imagine if we all could and would drive any way we wanted. No traffic lights, stop signs or speed limits. Sixty mph in a school zone? Go for it. Freedom. When a large group of people live together in close proximity, there need to be laws or there is chaos. Can we trust you to use good judgment while you are exercising your “freedom?” You sound very selfish and incredibly naive, so I doubt it.
Double standard?
Why was it OK for Black Lives Matter to block Water Tower Place and other businesses in Chicago, or for the same group to take over Portland, Oregon during the “Summer of Love” in 2020 to make its desires known by hitting them at the “bottom line?” If so, the same should be allowed for truckers protesting dictatorial shot and mask mandates in Canada, and here in the U.S. Regarding wrongheaded policy and edicts by the Department of Homeland Security, that is when our sheriffs across the land should utilize interposition to protect the truckers against DHS edicts that violate the U.S. Constitution, and refuse to enforce said edicts.
Check your facts and history
We as Americans need to get our act together. This country is young and new. Mistakes will be made. But to have agendas, especially with race, is not the answer. How about being a person, an American? All of these groups that say it’s about diversity and equality, well you need to check your facts and history. If we don’t this, American experiment will fail.

I’ve done my part by vaccinating and boosting. Good grief already, I’m so done wearing the masks. Why should I continue to pay the price for those who won’t do their part to end this pandemic? Stop the mandates. All for one and one for all. May the best man live.
