One suspect was placed into custody after a 31-year-old woman was shot in the head Friday night in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 11:15 p.m., the woman was involved in an argument in the 1300 block of West 80th Street when the male she was arguing with pulled out a gun and fired shots, hitting her in the head, police said.
She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was listed in fair condition. The shooter, of an unknown age, was taken into custody.
No charges have been announced and detectives are investigating.
