DUI
Genevieve Brust, 30, of the 700 block of Pontiac Court, Round Lake Heights, was charged December 11 with improper lane usage, failure to give information after striking property, driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving with a BAC over .08 following an incident on Route 12 at Route 22. Brust is scheduled to appear in court January 10, 2023 in Waukegan.
Moving violation
Del Valle Rivera, 35, of the 1000 block of North Berwick, Waukegan, was charged December 5 with driving on a suspended driver’s license and no valid registration following an incident at Rand and Whitney roads. Rivera is scheduled to appear in court January 6, 2023 in Mundelein.
Burglary
There was a report of a burglary to a building December 10 in the first block of Ela Road. Someone reportedly entered the building through an unsecured window and caused flooding and water damage in the business. An item was reported stolen.
There was a report of burglary to a motor vehicle December 10 following an incident in the 1000 block of Old McHenry Road. Someone reportedly smashed the front driver side window and stole personal items. The offender(s) tried unsuccessfully to use the victim’s credit cards.
Theft
Cristobal Ochoa, 21, of the first block of Ravenswood Court, was charged December 10 with theft under the village’s local ordinance following an incident in the 800 block of South Rand Road. Ochoa is scheduled to appear in court January 6 in Mundelein.
