The following items were taken from Park Ridge Police Department bulletins. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Traffic violations

Jose Ramos Rugerio, 44, ofPuerto Penasco, Mexico, was charged Dec. 12 with operating an uninsured motor vehicle with its registration suspended and driving without a driver’s license on the 800 block of Higgins Road, police said.

A 16-year-old male from Park Ridge was charged Dec. 15 with speeding 26-34 mph over the posted speed limit and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at the intersection of Oakton Street and Busse Highway, police said.

John Zurawski, 43, of the 4400 block of Phelps Road, Phoenix, Arizona, was charged Dec. 15 with speeding 26-34 mph over the posted speed limit on the 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue, police said.

Athra Younan, 26, of the 9000 block of Oconto Avenue, Morton Grove, was charged Dec. 12 with using an electronic communication device while driving and driving on an expired driver’s license at the intersection of Oakton Street and Parkside Avenue, police said.

Burglary

Two sets of golf clubs were removed from a detached garage on the 1500 block of Fairview Avenue overnight between Dec. 10 and Dec. 11, police said.

Theft

A Samsung tablet that had been left in a grocery cart at the Mariano’s on the 1900 block of Cumberland Avenue was later discovered to be missing when its owner returned to the store to retrieve it Dec. 11, police said.

A catalytic converter was removed from a 2010 Honda Element parked on the 1700 block of Ballard Road Dec. 15, police said.

Criminal damage to property

An unknown person cut Christmas lights at several points at a residence on the 1300 block of Knight Avenue Dec. 13, police said.
