Edward Foundation receives toys for hospitalized children
Two groups made large toy donations to Edward Foundation’s Pediatric Child Life Program for distribution at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
Indian American Political Alliance and Boy Scouts of America Troop 99 donated more than 60 toys, which will be given to children hospitalized this holiday season and throughout the year.
The donation was orchestrated by troop member Shayan Sakkaria, of Naperville, and his father, Kader Sakkaria, a member of the Indian American Political Alliance.
Assurance, a brokerage firm based in Schaumburg, also donated more than 300 toys to the foundation’s drive. Its employees bought items for children of all ages to help during the holiday season, officials said.
The Edward Foundation created an AmazonSmile charity list, which compiles items sought after for the Pediatric Child Life Program. The foundation’s wish list includes puzzles, games, dolls, Lego sets, coloring books, stuffed animals and other toys. It can be found under charity section at smile.amazon.com.
