Domestic battery
Genesis Guzman, 21, of the 2000 block of North 18th Avenue, Melrose Park, on Jan. 9 was charged with domestic battery in the 100 block of Forest Avenue.
DUI
Eddie Douglas, 42, of the 1500 block of Highway 432, Benton, Mississippi, on Jan. 11 was charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license after a traffic accident in the 100 block of South East Avenue.
Jose Rubio, 54, of the 700 block of North 10th Avenue, Addison, on Jan. 8 was charged with driving under the influence after a crash in the 6200 block of Roosevelt Road.
Giovanny Ordonez-Guayllasaca, 24, of the 4200 block of West Augusta Avenue, Chicago, on Jan. 2 was charged with driving under the influence after a crash in the first block of Augusta Avenue.
Burglary
A paint sprayer was reported stolen Jan. 3 from the 600 block of North Cuyler Avenue. Estimated loss was $729.99.
An owner’s manual was reported stolen and the ignition was reported damaged Jan. 9 on an unlocked 2017 Porsche Macan parked in the 1200 block of North Elmwood Avenue. Estimated loss and damage were $500.
The interior of a 2023 Mazda CX-9 parked in the 1400 block of North Austin Boulevard on Jan. 10 was reported ransacked; nothing was reported taken.
A pair of skates was reported stolen Jan. 7 from an unlocked Hyundai Sonata parked in the 800 block of South Boulevard. Estimated loss was $600.
Miscellaneous tools were reported stolen Jan. 11 from a 2019 Chevrolet Express van parked in the 800 block of South Euclid Avenue. Estimated loss was $2,000.
A bicycle was reported stolen Jan. 8 from a garage in the 800 block of North Humphrey Avenue. Estimated loss was $700.
Criminal damage
The rear passenger window was reported broken Jan. 7 on a Kia Sportage parked in the 200 block of Pleasant Street.
A garage door and door frame were reported damaged in the 900 block of South Clarence Avenue. Estimated damage was $100.
The rear driver’s side tire was reported slashed Jan. 5 on a 2004 Dodge Durango parked in a garage in the 6000 block of Roosevelt Road.
Criminal defacement
A garage door in the 700 block of North Harvey Avenue on Jan. 10 was reported tagged with graffiti.
A stucco wall and trim of a home in the 500 block of South Highland Avenue on Jan. 8 were reported tagged with graffiti. Estimated damage was $100.
A garage door in the 700 block of North Lombard Avenue on Jan. 8 was reported tagged with graffiti. Estimated damage was $50.
A garage door in the 700 block of North Harvey Avenue on Jan 8 was reported tagged with graffiti. Estimated damage was $50.
Garbage cans in the alley of the 600 block of South Ridgeland Avenue on Jan. 8 were reported tagged with graffiti.
The IL Dept. of Transportation box at Jackson Boulevard and Harlem Avenue on Jan. 6 was reported tagged with graffiti.
A concrete railway embankment in the 800 block of South Boulevard on Jan. 6 was reported tagged with graffiti. Estimated damage was $300.
An AT&T utility box in the 1000 block of Susan Collins Lane on Jan. 6 was reported tagged with graffiti.
The brick facade of a building in the 700 block of Lake Street on Dec. 22 was reported tagged with graffiti. Estimated damage was $300.
Theft
A 2016 Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen Jan. 10 from the 1200 block of North Austin Boulevard. Estimated loss was $9,000.
A 2013 Chevrolet Captiva with its keys left in the ignition was reported stolen Jan. 6 from the 1000 block of Lake Street. Estimated loss was $10,000.
Packages containing COVID tests on Jan. 9 were reported stolen from the 100 block of Augusta Street.
Three packages were reported stolen Jan. 8 from the 1200 block of North Ridgeland Avenue.
A cell phone was reported stolen Jan. 8 from Target, 1129 Lake St. Estimated loss was $299.
The catalytic converter was reported stolen Jan 10 from a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander parked in the 00 block of Van Buren Street. Estimated loss was $3,00.
The catalytic converter was reported stolen Jan. 10 from a 2010 Honda Element parked in the 700 block of Belleforte Avenue.
The front and rear license plates were reported stolen Jan. 8 from a 2003 Corolla parked in the 400 block of South Maple Avenue. Estimated loss was $10.
The rear license plate was reported stolen Jan. 8 from a 2009 Mazda CX-9 parked in the 1400 block of North Austin Boulevard. Estimated loss was $10.
A purse was reported stolen Jan. 10 from a person sleeping in the emergency room waiting room at Rush Oak Park Hospital, 520 N. Maple Ave. Estimated loss was $900.
The American flag was reported stolen Jan 4 from Village Hall, 123 Madison St.
