The following items were taken from Winnetka community reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

A 2014 Ford Transit was reported stolen Feb. 7 from an unlocked business as it was parked in an alley on the 900 block of Green Bay Road after keys were removed from the business, police said. The vehicle was recovered later that day in Chicago.

THEFT

Packages were reported stolen Feb. 8 from the porch of a residence on the 600 block of Garland Avenue, police said. The contents were valued at $300.00.

Medicine and alcohol were reported stolen Feb. 9 from a business on the 900 block of Green Bay Road, police said. The merchandise was valued at $857.80.

AirPods were reported stolen Feb. 10 from a school classroom on the 300 block of Winnetka Avenue, police said. The AirPods were valued at $150.00.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

An individual reported Feb. 6 that a previously mailed check was altered, police said. The financial loss exceeded $5,000.00.

An individual reported Feb. 8 personal information was used to apply for an auto loan online, police said. There was no financial loss reported.

An individual reported Feb. 9 clothing items purchased online in late December were not delivered, police said. The financial loss was $79.20.

An individual reported Feb. 9 personal information was used to apply for personal loans, police said. There was no financial loss reported.

An individual reported Feb. 11 personal information was used to make unauthorized purchases on a credit card, police said. The financial loss was unknown.
